A lil while back we did an installation as part of Synesthesia & Cetera, a little show put on by Babel/Salvage, who puts on multidisciplinary art events and publishes underground work from local writers. Ambrosia Bartosekulva did a performance piece, and embodied the spirit of Yin for the night. Also in the mix was a crazy long-form avant grade poetry thing that blew all of our minds and reminded us of all of the names of all of the suburbs, because that was what 80% of the poem was about. I think. Second half of the night was open mic, and our buds Steph and Madeline did a rendition of a Hurray for the Riff Raff song on the uke. They killed it. The audience was mostly our friends, and the venue wrecked our lights the next morning, but it was a good time. We got ramen at 1 in the morning and I think I got a few drinks. Most of the photos turned out pretty blurry, but in a nice way. Chris made a poster for the show, a synesthes’in creature with loud colors and lots of little doodles. Overwhelm ya senses.
