A color-drenched minimalist strand of handmade paper lanterns. This strand is inspired by the crane’s significance in Japanese culture. The crane lives for a thousand years, or perhaps multiple millenia, and signifies happiness, longevity and good fortune. The wings of the crane are said to carry souls up to heaven, and this strand is meant to augment our ancient sense of hopefulness for ascension/elevation.

This mystical bird makes it into mother’s prayers:

“O flock of heavenly cranes
cover my child with your wings.”
